Description
This is a racing car model kit assembled from parts made of resin, white metal, photo-etched metal and possibly other materials.
From Ebbro comes this assembly kit of the Nissan R382, which won the 1969 Japan Grand Prix, using 3D-printed parts. The main components such as the body, chassis, engine, and tires are formed by 3d Printing based on 3D data.
Unlike traditional plastic model kits with molded parts formed by using metal molds, this kit takes a step forward, minimizing assembly effort by integrating intricate parts. For instance, the suspension arm is pre-assembled with the chassis, and the coil damper unit is mounted between the upper and lower arms. This represents a new era of plastic assembly models achieved by molding key parts with ABS resin using a 3D printer.
