Description

This is an injection-plastic passenger car kit.

In the 1960s and 1970s, tricycles were widely used in southern Vietnam as a public transportation alternative to horse-drawn carriages. Many of the vehicles used as taxis at the time had the letters "Lambro," derived from the Italian scooter brand "Lambretta," written on the side of the vehicle, and "Xe," which means "car" in Vietnamese, was also on the side of the vehicle. This type of vehicle is now called a "xelam." At the end of the 1960s, there were approximately 17,000 xelams operating throughout the southern region; the number of xelams in Saigon alone was approximately 3,200.

Gecko Models provides us with an amazingly detailed 1/35-scale model kit of a xelam! Figures of the driver and passengers are included. Place your order today!
