The Nashorn tank destroyer was an interim design--a quick way to get the potent 88mm anti-tank gun on a fully tracked chassis and out in the field. Lightly armored, crews had to hope for a first hit or risk getting quickly destroyed themselves. Still, the type served successfully until the end of the war.

Dragon has re-released their previously re-tooled Nashorn kit (6166) as a new "Premium Edition" kit, meaning they've added extra plastic, metal, and photo-etched parts in an effort to improve on the previous release. Also includes Dragon's conveniently pre-cleaned and ready-to-assemble "Magic Track" indy-link tracks. Markings are included for eight vehicles.
