This item is a educational construction kit assembled from various materials (plastic, metal, etc.). Cement is required, but no painting is necessary.
Called "Quintuple Somersault" in the Karakuri Zui (the only known manual for Karakuri dolls, written in the Edo period), when completed this terrific little doll will actually perform backward flips down the included set of stairs -- and no mainsprings or other source of power are necessary!
