To counter the ever growing number of enemy tanks on Russian Front, the German Army required a mobile anti-tank weapon with a strong gun and armor which could be mass-produced in a short time frame. The Jagdpanzer IV is the exclusive design of this kind of weapon, making its first appearance in 1944. The hull design was simple, with a box-like superstructure (80mm thick in front) and a powerful 7.5cm long gun (for Panther tanks) was intended to be equipped. The first production model was built with a 7.5cm short gun, however, due to low supplies of the long gun; but the second model was built in the originally-intended form, with a long gun. This kit is a convertible model: one model can be built, with the short gun or with the long gun. The difference is not only the barrel length, but also in the front armor plate, exhaust systems, road wheel type etc., all of whic are depicted. Tracks are the individual track link type, made of injection plastic. Five sets of decals (three for L/48 including Syrian Army 1954! & two for 70(V)). No figure included.
