Here's a brief history on Oswald as printed on the back of the packaging:
"Oswald was created by Walt Disney for a distribution deal between Charles Mintz and Universal Pictures. Debuting on September 17, 1927 in 'Trolley Troubles,' the plucky rabbit 'acted up' - and audiences went wild.
"Clever, impulsive, fast-moving Oswald was a huge box-office hit, but Walt's high hopes for the hare were squelched when Mintz cut him out of the production schedule and lured several of his animators away. The momentary setback ultimately spurred Walt to a much greater victory. Although Oswald starred in 26 cartoons, he soon lost steam to a mouse on a steamboat.
"Today, with Oswald's return 'home,' The Walt Disney Studio has reclaimed an important part of its history - and gained a player who is unique in his ability to 'go for the bold.'
"With his sharp, graphic vintage style and 'back at'cha' attitude Oswald sizzles with the rowdy edginess of early animation. He's a sassy stylish blast from the past - with a future that looks bright."
Medicom Toy commemorates Oswald's return to Disney's ownership with this fantastic two-pack that includes cool 17cm vinyl figures of Mickey Mouse and Oswald in classic black and white. Ready for display right out of the box! Don't miss out on this rare hare and everybody's favorite mouse!
