The PT-76 is a lightly armored but fully amphibious fighting vehicle. Manned by a crew of three and armed with a 76mm main gun, the PT-76 is often used to transport troops. It has seen service with the Warsaw Pact countries and elsewhere throughout the world.

Trumpeter's fifth PT-76 kit is sharply molded in gray styrene and, like the previous four releases, includes a bit of twine for the tow cables and brass wire for other details. The tracks are flexible belts. Photo-etched metal detail parts are included. An interesting feature is the inclusion of the two water jet ducts leading from the intakes on the bottom of the hull to the nozzles on the rear of the hull. Parts and markings are provided for one Polish PT-76B.
