Description
This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
Reissue of the excellent Trumpeter 1/144 scale F-86 two-kit set with decals to mark them as F-40 Sabres of the JASDF. Unlike the previous JASDF set, the -30 wing is not included in the box, only 2 -40 wings. Markings are for an aircraft with fearsome-looking drop tanks from the 3rd Sq. at Misawa, a plane from the 8th Sq. at Komaki with "Shachihoko" (a dolphin design traditionally put on castle roofs to protect them from lightning) on the tail, and its antithesis a lightning-bolt marked aircraft of the 9th Sq. at Iruma. See box photo or art for marking details. Complete sample of the pictures are from a different kit. Marking of the pictures are not included.
