This is an injection-plastic model kit of a scene or item related to the culture of Japan.
Molded in green and light brown plastic, this 1/150-scale Boat House kit comes with its own real grass--a mixture of timothy and clover! Build the small, slightly shabby inaka ("local") station, wet the kit's mat, sprinkle it with the provided seeds, keep it moist, and soon you'll have a small patch of grass. It won't last forever, of course, but you may be able to find replacement mats at your local gardening store, and you can start over again. Use an AA battery (not included) to light up the inside of the station! It's the right size for N-gauge layouts.
This is one of the entries in Kawai Shokai's series of kits of Japanese buildings, stores, and locations that allows you to recreate Japanese landscapes--it's just like being here! (If you're about 2 inches tall, anyway.) From Edo period sights to relatively modern ones, the wide variety of entries allows you to design the layout of your choice (after taking varying scales into account).
