Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
This is an all-new tooling of the famous ship as it appeared in 1941. Featuring an astounding 1,048 pieces, the model will measure 92.7cm (36.5 inches) long when completed. Includes an array of photo-etched metal detail parts and machined metal gun barrels and metal propellers for the utmost in detail. Although it's not mentioned anywhere in the instructions or on the packaging, the hull is provided as upper and lower halves separated at the waterline, meaning you can easily build it as either a full-hull or a waterline model. Display stand not included, however. Includes a 36-page instruction booklet and a separate full color painting guide (reflecting current research as to the final scheme) in English and Chinese. A very fitting tribute to the ship and the men who crewed her.
