This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

Limited reissue of the Airfix 1/24 scale Harrier kit with parts and decals to build it as a British Aerospace Sea Harrier FRS1. Some minor surgery is required to remove the original cockpit and nose section from the fuselage halves so they can be replaced with a SHAR nose, but after that things are quite straightforward. Includes bombs, drop tanks, rocket pods, gun pods and strakes and Sidewinder armament, the last including the twin missile racks for the outboard pylons that were unique to the SHAR. Of note is that parts for the GR.3 are included as well, so if one is so inclined... however there are no decals or instructions for a GR.3 so you are on your own there! Decals are given for ZA177 of 809 NAS aboard the Hermes during Operation Corporate (Falklands/Malvinas War), XZ492 of 899 NAS at Yeovilton in 1991, and IN617 of 300 Squadron Indian Navy.
