Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

This kit of the M7 Priest thank is a new mold! The M7 Priest is a 105mm self-propelled howitzer developed in 1941 and used by the U.S. Army. An open-top battle compartment was added to the body of the M3 medium tank, and the M-2 105mm howitzer was mounted there. The M-2 grenade is an improved version of the 105mm M1 howitzer, which was developed in 1938 and saw production start in 1940. The M-2 had a 22.5 caliber and a maximum range of 11,438 meters. The engine is equipped with a continental star-shaped 9-cylinder air-cooled gasoline engine. A cylindrical mount for attaching a 12.7mm machine gun to the right side of the battle compartment resembled a priest giving a sermon from a pulpit, so the machine was given the nickname "Priest." When it was formalized in 1942, it was used not only by the U.S. Army, but also the British Army, which used it on the North African Front.

This model represents the initial production type of this vehicle, in 1/35 scale, with a finished length of about 17cm. It features a prefabricated magic track crawler belt. The end connector is reproduced in detail by a slide mold, and the details of the body design are realistically modelled. The battle compartment, the 105mm howitzer, and even the details of the control seat, etc., are finely represented. An aluminum gun barrel is aluminum also included.
