This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Sd.Kfz.167 IV assault gun uses the body of the Panzer IV, which was developed by Krupp in February 1943. The No. III assault gun, which had already been deployed, demonstrated excellent combat power in defensive battles in the latter stages of the war, and the increasing demand for assault guns from the front lines also supported development. In addition, in 1943, the StuG III production factory was damaged by Allied air raids, which stopped production. Official production of the StuG IV was to begin as a vehicle to replace the StuG III. The initial type was equipped with the fighting compartment of the Type III assault gun G on the hull of the Panzer IV H type. Mass production began after modifications were made to eliminate gaps and steps due to differences in the vehicles, as well as differences in the cockpit area. Production began in December 1943, and approximately 1,100 of this vehicle were made until April 1945.
This model kit from Italeri reproduces the No. IV assault gun's low, sharp style, as well as the details of each part. The lower part of the hull is an integrated part that uses a slide mold to reproduce the shape and details of the underside of the hull. The tracks are partially integrated, and can be assembled for a realistic finish. The suspension parts and wheels lend it a three-dimensional feel, and the battle compartment at the top of the hull is integrated with the engine deck at the rear. The loader's hatch and commander's hatch can be assembled open or closed; the support rock for the Schulzen is also modeled in great detail. Newly designed decals are included for the markings, and a tank soldier figure is included too! Order yours today!
