This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Trumpeter continues its successful foray into naval kits with a superb offering of the famous USN CV-10 Yorktown. The "Fighting Lady" was commissioned in April of 1943 and after many years of highly successful and diverse service (having been reclassified several times), decommissioned in 1969.
The level of detail in this kit is outstanding, and it is all very crisply molded, in 678 plastic pieces, which includes a display stand and plaque. At 1/350 scale, the completed kit measures 77.5 cm long, and 12.5 cm wide. Instructions are well-illustrated and provided in both Chinese and English. Included are four each of SBD-3, F6F-3, SB2C and TBF-1 aircraft, but you'll need one of Trumpeter's optional sets (see links below) if you want a nice deck full of planes as pictured on the box. Includes water-slide decals for deck and hull markings for the Philippines, 1944; decals are included as well as for the airplane markings; color suggestions (based on Gunze Sangyo's Mr. Color lineup) are included as a painting guide. Highly recommended!
