This is a resin and white metal ship model kit.
From the Yankee Modelworks website:
"The USS Holland was designed as a portable submarine base to be used when the USN sub fleet was to be deployed in areas where port facilities were limited or not available. A sub tender contained machine shops, spare parts, food, fuel, ammunition, and just about anything else a USN sub would require. These floating bases were deployed all over the world and provided the USN with a considerable reach for its submarine fleet."
"The Yankee Modelworks USS Holland kit depicts the ship in her mid-war 1943 configuration. Early in the war, the ship was upgraded with a considerable amount of AA guns. With a little work, the kit can be easily backdated to her 1930s configuration."
"The model is a full-hull resin kit with metal and photo-etch detail parts. Decals are not provided with this kit since the hull was not ever numbered during her wartime career."
