The Alpha Jet is the result of a German-French joint effort venture of the 1970s. It is a twin-engine, two-seater light attack jet and advanced trainer aircraft.
The first production Alpha Jet for the French made its first flight in 1977. A total of 176 production of Alpha Jet E were delivered up to 1985.
The Patrouille de France, or PAF, is the precision aerobatic demonstration team of the French Air Force. Originating in 1931, it is the world's oldest and one of the most skilled demonstration teams. Pilots currently fly the Alpha Jet.
Each aircraft is painted blue-white-red, with the gun placement replaced with a smoke generator. Search lights are installed on the aircraft nose, and the viewfinder has been removed to improve visibility.
Molded in gray and clear plastic; includes photo-etched parts and decals by Cartograf for 4 different aircraft (2013: Patrouille de France 60th Anniversary, 1993: Patrouille de France 40th Anniversary, 1995: 50th anniversary of the end of WWII, 2017: Patrouille de France American Tour Livery). Includes parts for two models. Will be 25.8cm long with a wingspan of 18.9cm when assembled.
