This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Hawker Sea Fury was developed towards the end of the Second World War, and was the last and most powerful piston-engine fighter to serve with the Royal Navy. Considered the ultimate in piston-engine fighter design, it arrived in service in 1947, too late to see conflict against the Japanese in the Pacific. Instead, the Sea Fury saw service in the Korean War. Flying from various aircraft carriers, it was a potent fighter-bomber, attacking North Korean targets with a range of ordinance, as well as serving as a photo-reconnaissance machine and even destroying a MiG-15. Its powerful Centaurus engine gave the Sea Fury an awesome turn of speed, which, combined with its four wing-mounted cannons and array of underwing weaponry, made the Sea Fury a powerful adversary. Retired in favor of jet aircraft in the mid-1950s, the Sea Fury went on to serve with a variety of overseas operators such as the Royal Australian Navy, Dutch Navy and Canadian Navy. Today, restored examples are prominent performers on the air-show circuit, impressing crowds with their awesome power and maneuverability.
Will be approximately 23.1cm long with a wingspan of 24.4cm when completed. Includes decals for 3 versions (Australia, Canada, Netherlands).
