This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Sherman soldiered on in many different versions from WWII and beyond. The M4A4 differed from other variations with its stretched hull with upper and lower hull bulges necessary to accommodate the huge and complex five-banked multi-engined powerpack arrangement. The length of the stretched hull required that the bogie assemblies be spaced wider apart than on other variations, which is another unique feature that helps identification. General dissatisfaction with the multi-bank engine arrangement led the US to export most of its M4A4s to its allies. The British attached 60-lb rockets to the sides of the turret to create this unusual variant of the M4A4.
Dragon continues its winning ways with another excellent Sherman release in 1/72 scale. Excellent detail and fine moldings are hallmarks of this kit, which also features a great set of photo-etched parts and nicely done T62 riveted chevron-style tracks molded in flexible Dragon Styrene. A new sprue of rocket and launcher parts is added for this new version. Includes Cartograf decals for three vehicles.
