This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The Mirage 4000 is a prototype fighter developed by the French airplane manufacturer Dassault in the late 1970s, at their own expense, to enter the large fighter market. Based on the Mirage 2000, the engine was a twin version, the bubble canopy and canard wings were adopted, there was a 74% increase to empty weight compared with the Mirage 2000, and the payload was increased by 2.5 times. The fuselage was CCV-designed which adopted fly-by-wire, and it was thought that this machine incorporating high basic performance and state-of-the-art technology would be advantageous for adopting and exporting Dassault's own system.
The Mirage 4000 had its first flight in March 1979, but the market for such an expensive machine was limited, and only one prototype was ever produced.
This kit comes with photo-etched parts, painting mask seals, two kinds of canopies (open and closed options), six R.550 Magic air-to-air missiles and decals for two markings versions. There are about 200 parts, and it will be about 27.2cm long and 16.7cm wide when completed.
