Description

This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

This 1/72-scale model kit from Platz allows you to build a U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagle belonging to the 44th Expeditionary Squadron, with a wide variety of nose art to choose from! The F-15 Eagle is a U.S. Air Force fighter that is still considered the world's strongest air superiority fighter. It made its first flight in 1972, began deployment in 1976, and is still in active use around the world. The F-15C has the highest production number. The aircraft is equipped with a clipped delta wing and two vertical tails, and carries two Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan engines. It demonstrates high speed and acceleration exceeding Mach 2, as well as high turning ability. It is also equipped with an electronic warfare system and can carry various missiles, including the AIM-120 air-to-air missile. It boasts high capabilities as a high-speed, high-mobility air superiority fighter. The 44th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, known as the "Vampire Bats," which deployed from Kadena Air Base in Japan to Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia in 2020, is one of the units operating the F-15C; they're known for the unique nose art drawn on each of their aircraft.

This model kit from Platz reproduces the U.S. Air Force specification of the F-15C. This particular aircraft belongs to the 44th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron "Vampire Bats," deployed in Saudi Arabia. Decals by Cartograf for twelve different nose art versions are available. The differences from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force aircraft, such as the vertical tail parts, are well reproduced, and the panel lines provide a realistic finish. You also can't miss the detailed reproduction of the engine nozzle, which has been recreated by dividing the parts, and the landing gear. The reproduction of the cockpit is very realistic and detailed as well, from the meter panels to the seats. Order yours today!
