Commonly known by its nickname "Japan", the C210 series 5th generation Skyline was introduced in August 1977 as a full-model change from its predecessor C110 series. With its TV commercial using the same young couple as the C110 series, the model earned the nickname "Japan" from the commercial's catch phrase, "Skyline Japan". In April 1980, the long-awaited turbo engine model was added, further reinforcing the model's popularity.

This kit replicates the "Japan" HT2000 Turbo GT-E/S in its catalog specifications. The molds were designed and developed in the 1970s and consequently it is not at the same level of replication quality as most modern kits. However, with added genuine aluminum wheels, various custom parts, and front/rear faces selectable between early and late model design, you are able to build the kit to your preference.
