Description

This is an injection-plastic field gun model kit.

Here's what Vulcan Scale Models has to say about their very first model kit release:
"The Ordnance QF 2-Pounder was a 40mm British anti-tank gun used widely by the British, Commonwealth, and Allied countries such as the Free Polish and Czech armies during the Second World War. It was the main anti-tank gun before mid-1942, used in France and North Africa before being replaced by the 6-Pounder, as enemy tanks became more heavily armoured. In some theaters, it remained in service until the end of the war.

"Besides its major role as a towed weapon, the 2-Pounder was mounted in early-war British cruiser and infantry tanks and later light tanks and armoured cars."

This first effort from Vulcan Scale Models of Hong Kong is sharply molded in light gray styrene that's free of flash and ejector pin marks. No metal parts are included, but the one-piece plastic barrel features an open muzzle thanks to slide mold technology. Empty round cartridges also feature open ends. Tires are rendered as five-piece sandwiched assemblies for an excellent representation of the tread patterns, with separate three-piece wheel assemblies. Can be built in combat or travel configuration. Judging by the high quality of this kit, it seems military modelers have a lot to look forward to from this new company!
