Tamiya’s showpiece this year is the huge and beautifully rendered 1/32-scale de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk. VI! Exceptionally detailed, this all-new tooling will be the focal point of any modeller's lineup. A 1/48 German 3-ton medium cargo truck Kfz.305 and a 1/35 German medium tank Panther Ausf. D also make their debut at Shizuoka, both ready to enliven wartime dioramas! And on the civilian side, there’s a newly-tooled model of Toyota's first production passenger vehicle from 1936, when the company was still known as "Toyoda."

Long famed for its aircraft kits, Hasegawa has a pair of special offerings this summer: 1/48 Hien Type 1 & Type 95 Reconnaissance Car (Type 3) 244th Squadron with Figure and 1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw190A-5/U7 "Graf Special" with Figure. The special figures make these decal-variation kits must-haves!

Slated for release in May, the 1/12 Honda NSR500 "HB Honda" (1989 WGP500) returns and has been made all the greater with some newly tooled parts! Auto aficionados won't want to miss the 1/24 Nissan Sunny Truck (GB120) Long Body DX "Early Type" kit coming in June.

Naval greatness is on the way too, with the 1/700 JMSDF DDH Izumo arriving in June, and the 1/700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Akagi Full Hull Version close behind.

Joining Hasegawa's line-up of sharply detailed "Macross" kits will be the 1/72 VF-1S/A Strike Super Gerwalk Valkyrie. Watch for it in July! Reaching fans' hands a month earlier will be the 1/1500 Arcadia First Warship (Captain Harlock: Dimension Voyage), a gotta-get for fans of Leiji Matsumoto's space pirate, as well as 1/35 Mechatro WeGo No.02 "Milk & Cacao" and 1/20 Robot Battle V Mk44 Ammoknights (Smart Gun).

Aoshima has a fantastic lineup in store for us this year, with their 1/20 McLaren MP4/2 1984 British Grand Prix model kit heading things off! The cowling of this championship vehicle is removable, so you can see the V6 engine and chassis inside even after completion. And with two decal versions available, you can customize the kit to your driver of choice!

Other kits to be on the lookout for from Aoshima's vehicle lineup include a model of the ever-popular E70 Corolla sedan Late DX, the EF3 Honda Civic Gr.A racing car, and the uniquely designed K-BREAK 18 Crown Hyper Zero Custom Ver.1, all in 1/24 scale!

From their military selection, Aoshima will be presenting a 1/72 scale JGSDF 3 1/2t Truck Armor Reinforced Type that includes 6 figures, a 1/350 scale IJN Submarine Kaidai Type 6 I-168, and much more! They'll even be displaying the "Arpeggio of Blue Steel" version of the I-401 submarine that can transform into the incredible Super Gravity Cannon mode using the included parts!

Aoshima will also be bringing along at least one kit from their locomotive series, the Diesel Locomotive DD51 Hokutosei in 1/45 scale! The larger scale allows for a truly impressive level of detail, and the model measures about 40cm long upon completion!

Two new highly popular Gundams from Bandai will make their debut soon: the unorthodox 1/144 HGBF Denial Gundam, and the gleaming golden 1/100 MG Hyakushiki! The Hyakushiki is the first MG 2.0 kit released in some years!

Platz has two stunningly detailed 1/72-scale Japan Air Self-Defense Force aircraft on the way--the F-15J Eagle (developed over 30 years ago and still highly regarded today) and an early version of the T-2 (Japan's first supersonic fighter, originally developed in 1967). They're also bringing out a limited-edition version of the Panzer VI Type D from "Girls und Panzer," featuring adorable figures of the Ankou Team!

Dragon shows off an incredibly detailed kit of the only working Tiger I tank remaining in the world--the legendary "301," now housed in the Tank Museum in Bovington, UK, and featured in the film "Fury"!
