This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Colossus-class aircraft carrier is a light carrier designed by the Royal Navy during WWII. Initially 16 ships were planned, but only 10 were completed; they were used by the Navy of six nations after the war. The first ship in the class, the Colossus, was loaned to the French Navy for a period of five years (they later purchased her for 1.5 million pounds), where she was renamed Arromanche. She was used in the Second Middle East War starting in 1956, and was renovated to be an anti-submarine aircraft carrier and training ship.
This kit reproduces the HMS Colossus as she was seen in 1944; decals are included for the HMS Colossus and also the eight ship in the class, the HMS Venerable. This is a waterline model, and it will be approximately 30cm long when completed.
