This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

This is a highly detailed 1/700 scale plastic model kit of the "USN Cargo Ship Liberty Ship Set (Ak-99 Bootes, Ak-121 Sabik)" as shown in the photos. The box contains kit to assemble 2 ships, the AK-99 Bootes, and the AK-121 Sabik, and decals. Their total length, when completed, is about 192mm.

The EC2 type, the so-called Liberty Ships were the cargo ships mass-produced by the US Navy. It is widely known that the victory of World War II owes a great deal to the material and industrial superiority of the US. But that was never able to be done without the steady work of supply units. And that was where the Liberty ships took a key role. Their activity as the supply depot, however, was no easy task. Many of them were sunk by the torpedo attack by German U-boat subs during supply operations to the front lines. AK-121 SABIK commissioned on April 19, 1944, and serviced in the Pacific front. She was active in some transporting and the landing operation to Okinawa and fulfilled her duty until the end of the war. AK-99 BOOTES commissioned on July 15, 1943, and serviced in the Pacific front. She was active in the supply of ammunition to Leyte, and other operations, and fulfilled her duty until the end of the war.
