Description
This is a Japanese roux for making curry sauce and other sauces.
Enjoy some delicious hashed beef in a richly flavored sauce made with red wine for a mellow aroma! It's rated 4 out of 5 on a spiciness scale. To prepare:
- Saute chopped onion and beef in salad oil.
- Add 650ml of water and simmer for about 15 minutes at medium heat.
- Remove from heat, break up the sauce cubes and add them and the contents of the sauce packet to the rest of the ingredients; then simmer for another 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
This tastes great with sliced mushrooms, or on pasta rather than rice!
