Lapras was the first Pokemon that Ash obtained in the Orange Islands. This figure harkens back to the olden days when Ash meets Lapras and promises to reunite it with its family. He gained Lapras’ trust after saving it from Team Rocket and it became his main source of travel during the Orange Islands arc of the anime. He finally fulfilled his promise and reunited it with its family on his way back home to Pallet Town.
