This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

The Italian Navy Heavy Cruiser Zara was built at the Odero-Terni-Orlando shipyard, where she was launched on April 27, 1930, and commissioned on October 20, 1931. When Italy entered the war in 1940, the ship joined the 1st division of the 1st squadron. On March 29, 1941 Zara was attacked by the British Royal Navy battleships HMS Warspite, HMS Valiant and HMS Barham at close range, and was sunk.
