This is a completed action toy designed for collectors.
The sixth entry in Takara Tomy's coveted Transformers Masterpiece series is Skywarp, one of the Decepticon Seekers, in his primary black-and-purple color scheme as seen in the animated "Transformers" TV series. Skywarp is a repainted release of MP-03 Masterpiece Starscream using the same molds and accessories except for a different alternate face. Disguised as an F-15 Eagle on Earth, Skywarp's jet mode is represented in fantastic detail with excellent recessed panel line detail on the entire figure. The jet engine nozzles are nicely detailed, and the nozzles can be moved in all directions to simulate thrust vectoring. The jet's radar dome can be removed to reveal the mechanism inside, and the flaps and ailerons are moveable, too!
Since this is a Masterpiece figure, the transformation process from jet mode to robot mode is fairly complex and will take some time to accomplish on your first couple of tries. When fully transformed, Skywarp stands about 22cm tall and is amazingly well-articulated right down to the moveable fingers. Skywarp's chest can be lifted up to reveal the missiles, just like in the TV series, and his face part can be turned to reveal a snarling expression. The only metal parts on this figure are some key joints and the base frame. The rest are made out of ABS plastic.
Accessories include a nicely detailed custom display base with stand, two pairs of Sidewinder missiles to replace the nullray guns in jet mode, a sticker sheet for decorating Skywarp with Decepticon logos, custom numberings, squadron logos, caution stencils, and a figure of Dr. Archeville from the TV series to sit in the pilot seat.
